NCMC Winter Baseball Camp 2013 

The North Central Missouri College Baseball Program has set winter camp dates for 2013. Camps will begin with an advanced session for catchers the evening of Friday, December 27th.  Camps will resume on the Saturday, December 28th with a morning session for pitching and an afternoon session that will focus on hitting.  On Monday, December 30th the final camp offering will occur with a youth session.

Session II (Ages 13-up Only) Saturday, Dec. 28th 9:00 AM-NOON
Session III (Ages 13-up Only) Saturday, Dec. 28th 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
Camp Cost:  Each Session Individually - $50.00,  Two Sessions - $80.00,  All Three Sessions - $110.00
No meals provided for sessions I-III
Youth Session (Ages 7-13 Only) Monday, Dec. 30th 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Camp Cost:  $40.00 per camper and lunch will be provided

Youth Session – This session will be geared towards instructing younger athletes about the fundamentals of baseball.  Areas of the game to be covered during this session will include hitting, fielding, pitching, base running, and sportsmanship.

Session I – This session will feature advanced instruction for catchers.  This session will be geared to campers age 13 and up. Campers will participate in drill sessions and will work the mechanics blocking, receiving and throwing.  Topics of discussion will also include; the role of the catcher specific to game situations, calling pitches and handling of the pitching staff.

Session II - This session will be an advanced pitching session for older athletes.  This session will offer a breakdown of pitching mechanics.  Topics to be discussed include; how to prepare, proper arm care, conditioning for pitchers, approach and situational pitching.  Campers will throw during the session.

Session III - This session will be an advanced hitting session for older athletes.  It will be the only offensive session that will be offered to older athletes. It will focus on swing mechanics and campers will learn drills and participate in drill work. Topics also discussed will be hitting approach, situational hitting, terminology and comparisons of a variety of hitting philosophies.
