Welcome!

Barnes Hall

Students can find free help here for most of their academic needs.  The ARC is run by both faculty members and qualified students who are ready and willing to help in many subjects, whether students are struggling in specific areas or just want to keep their grades up.

We are comprised of three labs:  the Math Lab (supervised by Melody Shipley), the Tech Lab (supervised by Judy Kidd) and the Writing Lab (supervised by Tina Totten).  In these labs, we can provide assistance with homework assignments, studying for exams, and working on projects and papers.  If students need help in other subject areas, we have tutors available upon request for most subjects.

The ARC also acts as the testing center for the NCMC campus.  Make-up tests and tests for online classes are proctored in the ARC and returned to the instructors on a weekly basis.

The ARC also has an open computer lab for student use, space for studying alone or with a group,  and shelves of resources such as books, videos, audios, and computer software.  Free coffee or cocoa and candy for ARC users!

Stop by the ARC in Barnes Hall 103 or browse our website to let US help YOU succeed!
