NCMC Dual Credit

Dual credit is a program that allows qualified high school students to enroll in college-level classes that earn both high school and college credit. The program is operated jointly by the high school and North Central Missouri College. Students receive credit at both institutions upon successful completion of a dual credit course or courses. By participating in the dual credit program, a high school student can make substantial progress toward a college degree before finishing their senior year of high school.
To ensure appropriate rigor for dual credit courses, the instructors and course content for dual credit must be approved by the corresponding program at North Central Missouri College. Students must also meet certain placement score and grade point average requirements in order to enroll in dual credit.
NCMC also offers online dual credit courses. This is opening up additional opportunities for students to earn college credit while in high school. All online dual credit courses are taught by NCMC Faculty. We encourage schools to provide a class period for these courses along with a proctor to help support the students.
