Instructor-Clinical Maryville, Bethany and Trenton

Reporting Structure:     Reports to the Director of Allied Health Services

 

Position Summary:        Teach students in clinical settings at various medical facilities.

 

Essential Functions:            

  • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans, and apply teaching techniques to best achieve course and programmatic objectives.
  • Model effective oral and written communication that engages the students, provides clarity, and improves student learning.
  • Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course objectives.
  • Continuously improve instructional quality by reviewing and utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods to ensure student success.
  • Provide access to students through electronic communication and other appropriate methods.
  • Maintain current knowledge in subject-matter as well as effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
  • Education:    Bachelor of Science in Nursing field required; Prefer Master’s degree in related field.

     

    Experience:   Two years of clinical practice, administration, or education. 

    Skills:           Strong communication skills. Provide sound evidence of effective teaching ability and management.  Possess creative, innovative, and diverse approaches to teaching.  Ability to develop interpersonal relationships with faculty, students, and cooperating agencies.
