Vacation – Classified and AMP

Employees may accrue a maximum of two times their annual days earned. Additional days accrued beyond the maximum are forfeited. Payout upon termination of employment is a maximum of 20 days.

Personal – Full time AMP, Classified and Faculty positions receive two personal days on July 1st of each year. Personal days must be used by June 30th of the following year or they will be forfeited. There is no payout upon termination of employment.

Flex – Full time AMP, Classified and Faculty positions will receive one flex day on July 1st of each year. The flex day must be used by June 30th of the following year or it will be forfeited. The flex day will take a day out of your sick pool instead of vacation.

Sick – Full time AMP, Classified and Faculty accrue one sick day per month for a maximum of 12 per calendar year depending on the number of months in the employee contract. Unused days may be banked from one year to the next with no maximum. Payout upon termination is a maximum of 25% of 80 days provided the employee has been employed two consecutive years.

Retirement

PSRS – Retirement plan for eligible “Certified” teacher and AMP positions. Must work a minimum of 17 hours per week. Exempt from paying Social Security on retirement, but not Medicare. Employee contribution is 14.5% of gross pay and is matched by NCMC.

PEERS – Retirement plan for non-certified eligible employees. Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week. NOT exempt from Social Security and Medicare. Employee contribution is 6.86% of gross pay and is matched by NCMC.

Tuition Assistance – College tuition at NCMC is free to full time employees of NCMC and their immediate dependents as defined by the IRS. All textbooks and class fees are the responsibility of the employee.

Bookstore Discount – Full time employees receive a 10% discount in the bookstore. Discount does not apply to textbooks.

Christmas Club Account – interest bearing payroll deducted Christmas Savings Account.

Ketcham Community Center Membership – Employee FREE;
