Twenty agriculture students from North Central Missouri College in Trenton participated in the Missouri PostSecondary Agriculture Students Organization State Conference this week in Park Hills, Missouri. The conference was hosted by Mineral Area College, with 150 students and advisors from nine Missouri community colleges participating.
Aric Laudwig, an NCMC student from Kirksville, was elected as the 2013-14 Missouri PAS Parliamentarian.
Several students qualified for national competition during contests at the conference and will travel to St. Cloud, Minnesota next March to participate in the National PAS Conference. They include: Shania Anderson, Jessica Browning and Shelby Lowrey (Agribusiness Management/Marketing Systems); Crysten Lollar and Sara Miles (Agricultural Education Systems); Britney Adam and Caleb Wyatt (Ruminant Animal Systems); Megan Beck (Non-Ruminant Animal Systems); Jacob Roth (Plant Systems); Hannah Mullany (Non-Ruminant Animal Systems and College Bowl); Aaron Ostrander (Power Structural and Technical Systems); Loren Fox (Agribusiness Management/Marketing Systems, Agribusiness Sales and College Bowl); Madeline Neill (Retail Agribusiness Systems, Feeds/Animal Health, and College Bowl); Lane Aldrich (Plant Systems, Crop Production and College Bowl); Dawn Wyant (Horticulture/Environmental/Natural Resources and Floriculture); and Caleb Graham (Plant Systems and College Bowl).
The North Central Missouri College agriculture and natural resources department offers Associate of Applied Science and Associate of Arts transfer degrees which emphasize agriculture, natural resources, and equine management. Department advisors are David Nowland and Rustin Jumps.
