The third annual North Central Missouri College Foundation Golf Tournament is set for Friday, August 29. The tournament will be held at the Green Hills Golf Course in Chillicothe and is to benefit the Foundation’s Knowledge Scholarship Fund at NCMC. It is an 18-hole format with three-person teams invited to participate. All teams tee off at 11 a.m. and lunch will be provided.
Prizes are offered for specialized contests such as closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, longest putt, etc. One prize is a one-of-a-kind Nike golf bag in NCMC Pirate colors (white, red, and black).
NCMC student-athletes will be in attendance and a few will be sharing with the group about their college experience and how NCMC Foundation Scholarships have been a benefit to them.
Teresa J. Cross, Director of the NCMC Foundation, commented, “We are looking forward to hosting a wonderful tournament in Chillicothe. We have previously held this tournament in Trenton; however, the Golf Tournament Committee decided to move it to Chillicothe this year to encourage our alums and supporters from Livingston County to participate.” She continued, “We know that it will bring both alums and friends of the college together for a fun activity while generating dollars toward college scholarships. This effort will benefit our students for years to come by increasing our endowed Knowledge Scholarship Fund.”
The tournament has space for a few more teams, and sponsorships are still being accepted. For more information about the tournament or to enter a team, contact the NCMC Development Office at 660 359 3948 ext. 1415 or visit the college’s website at http://www.ncmissouri.edu.
