College Courses to be Offered in Cameron

July 31, 2012

Registration is underway for three North Central Missouri College courses to be offered in Cameron beginning in August.  This year is the second year that NCMC courses have been available in Cameron.

NCMC was recently approved by the Missouri Department of Higher Education to offer basic education courses that fulfill requirements of a two-year degree or one-year certificate in Criminal Justice.  They also can apply toward a two-year transfer degree and are generally transferrable as individual courses to nearly all Missouri higher education institutions.

This semester’s offerings include Introduction to Criminal Justice (CJ126) on Monday evenings, Microcomputer Applications I (BT160) on Tuesday evenings, and General Sociology (SO107) on Thursday evenings.  They will begin the week of August 20 with the deadline for priority admission set for August 10.  The courses will be taught at Cameron High School.

Many additional NCMC courses are available on-line, at other outreach locations, or on the main campus in Trenton.  For additional information on how to apply to NCMC and enroll in these or other NCMC courses, please contact NCMC’s Student Services Coordinator at (660) 359-3948 ext. 1418 or by email at jrogers@mail.ncmissouri.edu.
