 May 20, 2013

Brooke Parton from Truman High School in Independence has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Lady Pirates at North Central Missouri College next season.

Brooke was a four-year starting guard for the Patriots at Truman and was named All-Conference Honorable Mention each year.  She averaged 7 points, 3 steals, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds per game and was Varsity Team Captain both her junior and senior years.  The Patriots were undefeated and ranked #1 in both city and state rankings during their 2012-13 regular season.

In classroom activities, Brooke Parton participated in National Spanish Honor Society, Spanish Club, Quill and Scroll, Youth Entrepreneurs, Yearbook, and Student Council.  She was also on the A Honor Roll.

Brooke Parton will join Kayla Oetterer (New Haven), Meagan O’Dell (Hartville), McKenzie Russell (Kirksville) and Molly Gregory (Sturgeon) as recruits for the 2013-14 Lady Pirates.
