Local Business Receives Award

November 4, 2011

The Modine Manufacturing facility in Trenton was the recipient of a Distinguished Business/Industry Award which was presented Thursday, November 3, in Branson.  Distinguished Business/Industry awards are presented annually at the Missouri Community College Association’s annual convention to a person or business that has engaged in significant partnerships with their local community college to stimulate economic activity and support community college students and programs.

The local Modine facility, which designs, engineers, tests, and manufactures heat transfer products for a wide range of applications and markets, supports its employees’ professional and personal development by providing college scholarships and customized training projects through North Central Missouri College in Trenton.   Modine has also provided financial support to NCMC campus development initiatives including contributions to projects such as the Ketcham Community Center, Cross Hall and the Barton Farm Campus.
