Gary Jordan, Chief Executive Officer at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, has been nominated as a new member of the NCMC Foundation Board of Directors. He has been nominated to fill a three-year term on the Board, which consists of 24 members from various communities in north central Missouri. It is expected that Jordan will formally join the Board at its August meeting.
Jordan and his wife Janet are the parents of four children: Jeffrey Spooner (currently serving in the U.S. Navy); Amy Spooner (a resident of Monett, MO); and Sarah and Samuel Jordan (an eighth grader and a fifth grader, respectively, in the Trenton R-IX school system). The family enjoys many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. Jordan also has a passion for aviation. He said he looks forward to becoming involved in the NCMC Foundation, as he earned many of his college credits at a two-year college when he started working toward his bachelors degree. “I know what a great resource a community college can be not only for those just beginning their higher education, but also for the working adult.”
Teresa J. Cross, Director of the NCMC Foundation, comments, “I am excited to have Gary Jordan join our Board of Directors. He understands what community colleges are all about and will bring to our Board his extensive knowledge of healthcare needs in rural Missouri. As NCMC educates and trains many of its graduates in the healthcare field, his input will be very valuable to us.”
