Over the past few weeks, students enrolled in business technology classes at North Central Missouri College in Trenton collected canned/packaged food to be donated to the local food pantry and women’s shelter. They also gathered hats and gloves that will be donated to Rissler Elementary School in Trenton. So the project could serve as both an educational and service project, the students inventoried the items collected and then created data bases using Excel spreadsheets, charts, and formulas. Missie Cotton, NCMC Business Technology instructor, facilitated the project.

Some of the students who participated were, front row, Cierra Dunlap (Milan) and Shelby Billington (Green City); second row, Cheyanea Covey (Princeton), Danessa Derry (Princeton), Samantha Darnell (Chillicothe), Kayla Bird (Maysville), and Shelby Adkison (Hamilton); back row, Taylor Gardner (Chillicothe), Tyler Wrisinger (Meadville), Nick Koenig (Chillicothe), Logan Hill (Milan), and Paul Riggs (Stewartsville).
