Over the past few weeks, students enrolled in Microcomputer Application classes at North Central Missouri College in Trenton collected canned/packaged food to be donated to the Grundy County Food Pantry and women’s shelter. They also gathered hats, scarves, mittens and gloves that will be donated to the women’s shelter. So the project could serve as both an educational and service project, the students inventoried the items collected and then created Excel spreadsheets and charts. Missie Cotton, NCMC Business Technology instructor, facilitated the project.
Some of the students who participated were, front row from left, James Brownsberger (Blue Springs) and Juan Taveras (Dominican Republic). Back row from left, Zach Miller (Belton); Brooks Ferguson (Barnard); Maurice Duncan (Kansas City); Turner Herbek (Eureka); Cody Wade (Creighton); Joan Rondon (Dominican Republic); and Aaron Moore (Utica).
