Trump Signs Letter of Intent

January 30, 2014

Madison Trump, a senior at Trenton High School, signed a letter of intent to play softball at North Central Missouri College in Trenton in the fall of 2014. She is the daughter of Tom and Benna Trump of Trenton.

Head Lady Pirates Coach Megan Cairns looks for Trump to add greatly to the team. “I have been interested in Madi since I saw her play for Trenton as a junior. She has a tremendous presence as a catcher, a solid understanding of calling a game, and is nearly flawless on catching fundamentals. I fully expect her to be our everyday catcher. Madi is also going to be a great addition to our batting lineup. She always find a way to get on base, whether that be by a hit, walk, hit by pitch, or causing the defense to make a mistake. Madi will make an immediate impact for our team and I believe her skills will translate well into the collegiate level." Trump’s senior year batting average was .450.

At Trenton High School, Madi’s honors include First Team All-District for three years, Second Team All-Region for two years, and St. Joseph News-Press’ Second Team. She is a member of FFA, 4-H, FCA, National Honor Society, Key Club, and choir, and was named Student of the Quarter. At NCMC she will major in business management.
