Blythe LaFaver

Blythe LaFaver from Green City, Missouri, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for January.  Blythe is an A+ student, receiving her Associate in Arts transfer degree from NCMC. After Blythe graduates from NCMC this May, she will be attending Missouri State University to peruse her bachelor degree in Speech/Language Pathology.

Blythe is a Student Ambassador and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. When asked about why she chose NCMC Blythe responded, “I love that NCMC is a college with small class sizes. I come from a small high school, and NCMC was a good transition for me.”

When asked about her favorite class Blythe said, “My favorite class is Art Appreciation with Mr. Norris. Even though I am not great at art, he makes us all understand you don’t have to be good at art to enjoy it. He makes class fun and interesting.” Blythe went on to say, “The professors genuinely care about you and want you to succeed. If you have questions, they are always available to help you.”

Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
