Jeana Noel is NCMC’s Outstanding Student for July
July 12, 2017
Jeana Noel, an A+ student from La Plata, Missouri, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for July. Jeana recently graduated in May with her Associate in Arts degree. Jeana will transfer to Northwest Missouri State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.
At NCMC, Jeana was an Animal Science major and a Barton Farm Mentor. “My favorite class was Beef Production,” said Jeana. “I want to work with large animals, and it gave me the hands on experience I need for the real world. Mr. Jumps is an amazing teacher.”
Jeana was also Student Senate President, Ag Club Vice President, Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and a member of Media Club. While maintaining all of her extra-curricular and leadership roles, Jeana also graduated with highest honors.
When asked why Jeana chose NCMC she said, “I love that it’s close to home and it was a smart financial choice. Everyone knows everyone, and you’re not just a number. Your teachers know you personally and care about your success. I love that NCMC has an entire Barton Farm Campus and still small class sizes, that’s what I really enjoyed.”
Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
