North Central Missouri College Instructor Dr. Sterling Recker Presents at Conference

North Central Missouri College Political Science Instructor, Dr. Sterling Recker recently attended the 2018 Mid-American Alliance for African Studies (MAAAS) conference held at the University of Iowa. Dr. Recker, President for MAAAS, led and helped organize the conference and presented on the topic Competing Narratives of Destruction and Development: The Politicization of Memory in Post-Genocide Rwanda to several regional colleges and universities in attendance.
 
“Dr. Recker has done an exceptional job on his research revolving around African Studies,” said Mitch Holder, Dean of Instruction. “His work with MAAAS and his leadership role provide NCMC with a great educational resource on the topic. I look forward to his work and research educating our students, faculty, and staff.”
