Testing Information 

The Director of Testing provides test administration and interpretation of placement testing. ACT—American College Testing—Call to schedule an appointment. Compass—Placement test that is a computer adaptive test and may be taken as the primary placement test. For teachers certification. MAPP– Measure of Academic Proficiency & Progress. GED—General Education Development. This test is a battery five parts: reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. NLN Entrance—National league for Nursing Entrance Exam for LPN NLN ACE—Acceleration Challenge Exam for RN. WorkKeys Entrance—All students completing the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) or a certificate (with the exception of nursing students) are required to take a WorkKeys pre-test as an entering Freshman in either the fall or spring. WorkKeys Exit—All Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) or certificate students are required to take a post-test before receiving their diploma. The Director of Testing will also accept credit for the CLEP exam. A CLEP subject examination guide and an NCMC equivalent course and credit guide are also available for viewing. The Director of Testing will also administer individual testing or provide special testing as circumstances present themselves. Eligibility and documentation are required for special testing needs. The Director of Testing will also administer correspondence courses upon request as a community service.

Official photo identification (i.e., drivers license, state I.D., school I.D., military I.D.) is required when taking tests or inquiring about test scores. Please note that not all forms of identification are appropriate for all examinations. Contact the Director of Testing or look up the test you are taking on this site to determine the form of identification that is acceptable for the test you are taking. Official test score reports are provided by the testing companies only. Scores provided by the Director of Testing are unofficial and are not available by telephone or fax.
