Student planning to complete a program at NCMC must file an Application for Graduation for each degree or certificate sought. There is a non-refundable cost of $55.00 (Each additional certificate or degree applied for in the same graduation year will be $40.00) due with the submission of the application. Students must apply, regardless of whether they plan to attend the graduation ceremony or not. There is only one ceremony each year in May for all degree completers in the previous December, the current May and in the coming July.

Exit testing is required of all degree and certificate completers prior to graduation. Associate in Arts and General Studies students take the MAPP test; Associate in Applied Science and Certificate students take the Work Keys exam. Applicants will receive letters with information about signing up for test dates scheduled in April and November.

Application deadlines for program completers are:    December completers October 1
May and July completers March 1

Completed applications are submitted to the Student Accounts Office with the required graduation fee.
