Prep Courses for the GED 

This class module is designed as a prep course for the structure and information on the GED test. This is an 18-hour minimum course designed to pinpoint what you need to work on and give you the opportunity to study for the GED test. A final assessment will be given to ensure you are ready to take the test.

Study items include:

  • Language Arts components and Essay Writing
  • Social Studies fields
  • Science knowledge
  • Reading fiction and non-fiction documents
  • Basic Math operations, higher-level components, and use of the scientific calculator.

Module breakdown:

  • Enrollment and assessment: 4 hours
  • Study time based on your needs: 10 hours
  • Final assessment: 4 hours

Once the assessments are done, your teacher will set up your program based on only what you need to learn.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the 18-hour minimum requirement.

Requirements to attend Module:

  • Enroll in the Adult Education & Literacy class nearest you.
  • Agree to attend class for at least 18 hours.
  • Set up the times you plan to attend.
  • Fill out the GED application and send in, along with the required fees.
  • Take the post-assessment to verify you are ready for the test.
