The following is a list of courses that satisfy the General Education Block and the Associate in Arts Degree requirements here at North Central Missouri College as well as the requirements for the Business Administration major at Missouri Western State University.  This guide is valid ONLY for those seeking the General Education Block or an Associate in Arts Degree.

Business Administration

Students desiring to major in business administration should declare their interest to the Department of Business so that they can be assigned a business advisor. Students with an ACT below 21 must have a GPA of 2.5 in the sophomore CORE classes: AC 136, AC 137, EC 252, EC 253, BA 221, BT 130, BT 160 and PH 101; and MT 125-Elementary Statistics or MWSU course GBA 210-Business Statistics to be considered. (Transfer students can complete the GBA 210 during the first semester at Missouri Western State University along with other courses applicable to the degree which have not been completed while at NCMC prior to transfer.  Applications to the major will be reviewed twice a year and should be submitted prior to OCTOBER 1 for Spring applicants or MARCH 1 for Fall applicants.

A minimum of 21 upper level credits (numbered 300 or above) must be taken in the Department of Business at MWSU.

Applications of transfer students (upon their request) will be given a preliminary review by the department chairperson before MWSU’s pre- or regular registration.
