BSN

A combination of general studies and support courses for the nursing major should be completed prior to beginning the nursing courses. Students should work closely with their academic advisors to select appropriate courses. The following support courses must be completed prior to the first semester of nursing course work with a grade of “C” or better: BI 100, CH 107 or CH 110, PY 121, PY 233, BI 238, BI 243, NR 104, PH101. Must also take a pathophysiology course prior to starting nursing. Taking and passing prerequisite courses does not assure acceptance into the BSN program. A completed application including transcripts, ACT score and three references must be in place in the Department of Nursing by January 31 (or until class is full) for a candidate to be considered for admission for fall and by August 31 (or until class is full) for consideration for spring.

Note: Sixty (60) credits must be from a senior college (4 year); 30 of the last 45 credits must be earned at MWSU with a minimum of 30 credits in upper division courses.
