| The Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) is designed to prepare a student for employment in a specific occupational area. Students complete 15 hours of general education courses and a minimum of 46 credit hours in their chosen career field. This degree has very limited transferability. Certificate programs prepare students for entry-level employment. NCMC awards occupational certificates to those students who complete the requirements of a one-year career program. Students can build on these program to complete an A.A.S. degree. |
