A: Students will automatically have a Blackboard account created for them once they register for classes at NCMC. Your account may not be activated until a few days before the semester begins.
A: Your Blackboard username is your Student ID, which is located on the upper portion of your course schedule. Your password is initially set the same as your social security number. It is recommended that you change your password once you log in for the first time.
EXAMPLE: Abigail Adams = Username: 000199999 Password: 123456789
Go to NCMC's home page and click the Blackboard link in the lower right hand corner. Select Login. You will then see a screen asking for your Username and Password. Enter your username and password.
From the Welcome page, click on Personal Information from the Tools box at the left of the screen.
Select Change Password. Change your password to something you can easily remember and keep in a secure location. Submit changes.
A: Be sure you are bookmarking (or saving as favorite) the Blackboard Entry page and not the Blackboard Login page. The Entry page sets a cookie that the actual Login page needs to see in order to read your information. It's a good idea to click on the Blackboard link from NCMC's homepage to get to the correct page.
