The Public Relations Office guides the development of a wide variety of communications—news releases, printed promotional materials (catalog, class schedules, student handbook, pirates code, brochures, business cards, programs, Viewbook, etc.), advertising with broadcast media and print media, Website and activities/promotions across campus. All external communications come through the Public Relations Office for the maximum consistency and exposure. Until July 2002, the office was staffed by a full-time director, part-time PR assistant and two part-time students (one funded by Work-Study and one by mentorship). The Public Relations Office as of July, 2003 is directed by the Director of Development in a dual role and supported by a full-time Public Relations Assistant and Work Study and Student Mentors. In addition, support continues to be provided by the Development Secretary.
