Exploring & Developing Options for the Future
Through the Advising office, students receive help in exploring and developing options for the future. Trained Advisors assist students in realistic self-evaluation, developing life plans, setting career and educational goals as well as course enrollment.
Selecting a Major
The sooner you know what your major will be and your transfer school the better you can plan your program. If you have no idea what major would interest you, consider career assessments available through the Advising office.
Once you know your major and transfer school, see if it is listed among our transfer guides. That will map a course outline for you. If there is no transfer guide listed, talk with your transfer school or see an NCMC Advisor to help you plan your courses. Students who know what they will major in, but have no idea where they will transfer may want to follow the general AA degree guides for that program.
