Register for OAR

What is OAR?

Each OAR session is filled with information to familiarize you with NCMC – from faculty and staff, to our campus, to all the student resources available to you as an NCMC Pirate!  Every new NCMC student is required to attend an OAR session.

Advisement & Class Schedule

Our Student Success Guides take a proactive approach to advising and registration.  Your schedule is created based on recommendations from your department, your declared degree program, prior college credit, other special circumstances such as sports participation, your preferred method of course deliver, and your course preferences, among other things.

Reserve your spot!

You will need to register for an OAR date online. It’s simple! Visit the register link above to fill out the registration form.  Seating is limited for each session.

Who should attend?

All new students are required to attend.  Parents or family members are welcome, but due to limited space, we ask that each student bring a maximum of two guests.  There will be a Family Orientation session for guests to attend.

Do you need placement testing?

Some courses (English, math history, government, and life and physical sciences) require placement test scores for enrollment.  You may be able to complete a placement test on or prior to your OAR date.  Please contact the Testing Coordinator at 660-359-3948 ext. 1407 for more information.
