Celebrating 100 Years at North Central Missouri College, 100 Stories for 100 Years

In honor of North Central Missouri College’s centennial, NCMC will spotlight 100 inspiring stories throughout the academic year. These narratives will showcase the voices and journeys of our alumni, students, faculty, staff, donors, and the communities that have shaped TJC/NCMC’s legacy. Each story is a tribute to the people throughout history who make NCMC extraordinary.

Graduation Year: 1998

I began my college journey at NCMC after graduating from Newtown-Harris High School, where my senior class consisted of just eight students. NCMC’s small class size, and close proximity to home allowed me to pursue higher education while remaining connected to the support of my family and friends.

The business classes I took at NCMC provided a solid foundation for my academic and professional development. I was actively involved in campus organizations, which enabled me to build lasting connections, engage in meaningful extracurricular activities, and travel to places I had never been before. One of the most memorable experiences was representing NCMC at the national Delta Epsilon Chi conference in Anaheim, California—my first time flying—where I competed as part of our chapter.

After completing my studies at NCMC, I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Management/Marketing from Park University, followed by an MBA from Western Governors University. I have now been with NCMC for 18 years, currently serving as the Director of Records and Registration/Registrar for the past five years.

I am proud to be part of an institution that continues to grow and evolve, and I am excited about the future of NCMC and the opportunities it will offer to students for years to come.
