Abigail Oneal, Learning Services Specialist, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Employee for April. Abigail, from Trenton, MO, has worked at NCMC for five years. Abigail is an NCMC alum and holds a bachelor of science in Fine Art.
Abigail describes her job as varied, galvanizing, and useful. When asked about her favorite thing about NCMC, Abigail said, “I love that there are so many people who are passionate about creating lifelong, successful learners.” During her time at NCMC, Abigail has helped collaborate with professors to give course-specific feedback to students who use the Online Writing Lab. Abigail has also helped grow online tutoring, which currently exceeds in-person interactions. In the future, Abigail would like to bring more traction to the Learning Commons and obtain more knowledge about online tutoring to be better equipped to help the modern student.
When not at work, Abigail enjoys reading, gaming, napping, and taking walks with her dog.
