Official separation of the College from the Trenton R-IX school system served as the catalyst for rapid growth in the size of North Central Missouri College’s physical plant as course offerings and the student body grew exponentially in the mid-1980’s. Today, NCMC boasts three education centers: its Main Campus in downtown Trenton, the Barton Farm Campus one mile south of Trenton, and a new Savannah Campus located in Andrew County, Missouri.
GEYER HALL
NCMC’s flagship classroom building, the old Central School, was renamed Geyer Hall in the 1980’s and totally renovated in 2016. Today it contains technology-equipped classrooms, the Bosley Learning Commons (consisting of the college library, tutoring center, and TRIO), and various administrative offices. The O.G. Sanford Clock Tower above the front entrance, named in honor of the College’s first president, and the ship’s anchor south of Geyer Hall are campus landmarks. On the east side of Geyer Hall, the Bert and Rose Hoover Memorial Quadrangle is a beautifully landscaped central green, a perfect spot for outdoor arts programs, student activities and other special events.
HOFFMAN HALL
Hoffman Hall, named in honor of members of the Hoffman family integral in the founding of Trenton Junior College, was the first new building constructed for use by the College. It was opened in the mid-1980’s. Hoffman Hall houses classrooms, computer and science labs, and faculty offices. A recent expansion doubled the size of the building and it now provides access to Cross Hall.
CROSS HALL
Dr. Albert & Vera Cross Hall, dedicated in 2009, is located on the northwest corner of the main campus and houses NCMC’s Nursing and Health Sciences Department. The facility supports classroom instruction, simulation-based learning, and administrative functions for health-related academic programs.
The building includes the Senator Christopher S. Bond Sciences Lab, a state-of-the-art simulation lab providing hands-on training for nursing and allied health students, as well as the Saint Luke’s Nursing Classroom. Cross Hall also houses the Cameron Regional Medical Center Nursing & Health Sciences Administrative Offices, supporting program coordination and student services. The Cross Hall Coffee Shop, located on the first floor, serves as a gathering space for students and community members. The facility is named in recognition of Dr. Albert Cross, an area physician whose philanthropic support contributed to the construction of the building.
BUILDING B
Building B, on Crowder Road north of Cross Hall, is home to NCMC’s art department.
Alexander Hall
The Willis Alexander Hall, just south and east of Geyer Hall, was added to the campus in the 1990’s. The Alexander Hall is a one-stop center for most student-related services including offices for the Vice President of Student Affairs as well as Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Housing. The lower level has a large conference room, meeting room, and houses Director of Residence Life.
Bert & Rose Hoover Campus Store
Opened in November 2025, the Bert & Rose Hoover Campus Store is located within the Dr. Neil & Susanne Nuttall Student Center on Main Street. The campus store provides textbooks, classroom supplies, college apparel, health care uniforms, and general merchandise for students and community members.
The store is named in honor of Bert & Rose Hoover in recognition of the philanthropic support of the Bert & Rose Hoover Foundation, including contributions made through the NCMC Foundation’s Transforming Lives, Empowering People major gifts campaign.
Ketcham Community Center
The Lloyd and Margaret Ketcham Community Center, completed in the spring of 1998, holds a collegiate gymnasium, cardio room, up-to-date exercise equipment, walking track, locker rooms, a training room, coaches’ offices, and meeting rooms. This is the site for NCMC’s basketball games, physical education classes, and community activities and events. Commencement ceremonies are held annually in the Ketcham Community Center(KCC).
Russ Derry Practice Facility
The Russ Derry Practice Facility, located on the main campus near the Ketcham Community Center, provides a dedicated indoor practice space for NCMC’s baseball and softball programs. The facility supports year-round training while enhancing overall campus athletic operations.
The facility features a 120’ x 84’ turfed indoor practice area with multiple hitting tunnels and practice stations, along with a 60’ x 60’ foyer. Additional spaces include locker rooms, restrooms, laundry and storage areas, and the Russ Derry Memorial Room, which highlights the legacy of Russ Derry through artwork, memorabilia, and artifacts recognizing his baseball career and ties to the region. The Memorial Room also includes recognition of Nan Carter, a former TJC instructor, NCMC Foundation Board member, and donor, in acknowledgment of her contributions to the College. The Russ Derry Practice Facility is a dedicated athletic space and is not available for public use.
SELBY HALL & ELLSWORTH HALL
Two residence halls were added to the main campus in the 1990’s. Ellsworth Hall, a residence hall for men, opened its doors in 1994, and Selby Hall, for women, was completed in 1997. Each student room has its own heating/air conditioning unit, sink, and service for electronic devices. Both halls have a large lounge/TV area and computer room, and a full-service dining facility on the lower level of Selby Hall is for students as well as college staff and members of the public.
PIRATE PLAZA
The Pirate Plaza includes two residence halls named Anchor A and Anchor B. Built in 2021, these are NCMC’s newest and modernized living quarters. Located on campus, these halls are apartment style and allow each resident their own room with a shared living space. Each hall is equipped with a full kitchen and large common area with television on each floor, laundry, and a bathroom on each wing. Each individual room allows for the individual to have their own secured space, air control, bed, closet, and multiple storage spaces.
FREY ADMINISTRATIVE CENTER
The Everett and Hazel Frey Administrative Center houses our Dorris Rider Art Gallery, President’s office, Business Services, Public Relations, IT operations, and Foundation offices.
IT SERVICES & ART GALLERY
The Everett and Hazel Frey Administrative Center near the Ketcham Community Center houses the Information Technology department, the Business Office, and offices for Development/Foundation and Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources and the NCMC President. The Dorris Rider Art Gallery is also in the Frey Administrative Center.
More Main Campus Buildings
Other buildings on the Main Campus include the Maintenance Building and the Dr. T.E. Ritze Building. The Maintenance Building, east of the Ketcham Community Center, houses department offices and workshop areas and is also the site for all the College’s general deliveries. The Dr. T. E Ritze Building on Crowder Road directly north of Hoffman and Cross Halls serves as the center for NCMC’s Business and Industry Department. Layson Hall, south of the Main Campus in downtown Trenton, contains administrative offices for the Workforce Development Board.
ELIZABETH AND ARTHUR BARTON FARM BARTON CAMPUS
The Elizabeth and Arthur Barton Farm Campus is one mile southeast of Trenton just off Highway 65. The property was bequeathed to the College by the late Arthur Barton and was used to establish a second college campus with an emphasis in agriculture. Opened in the fall of 2011, the Barton Farm Campus consists of more than 100 acres with three classroom/training buildings, grazing paddocks, row crop test plots/fields, and a two-acre pond with a fishing dock located by the Whitley Natural Habitat Area and Hoffman-Robbins Shelter.

Livestock is purchased annually to provide students with real-life animal-handling experiences, and state conservation organizations often make use of the classroom facilities, pond, and shelter house.

Dr. Neil & Susanne Nuttall Student Center
The Dr. Neil & Susanne Nuttall Student Center, located at 1205 Main Street in Trenton, Missouri, is a modern hub designed to enhance student life and campus engagement. Opened in November 2025 as part of NCMC’s 100th anniversary celebration, the center features the Bert & Rose Hoover Campus Store, the BTC Bank Meeting Room, the Farmers State Bank Reception Area, and the Tye Family Student Senate Room. It also includes campus dining services, along with a student lounge and micro-market on the lower level for relaxation and social connection. Funded through the NCMC Foundation’s Transforming Lives, Empowering People campaign, the facility reflects the college’s commitment to accessible, high-quality education and community growth.
SAVANNAH Campus
NCMC’s Savannah Campus is located in Savannah, Missouri, and provides centralized, affordable access to higher education for northwest Missouri. Designed to support workforce development and student success, the campus combines renovated and newly constructed facilities offering career and technical education, allied health, and general education coursework.
The campus was developed in two phases. Phase I includes the Dan Hegeman Center for Career & Technical Education, which houses programs in industrial technology, robotics, welding, and computer numeric controls, including the Dean & Darlene Kratochvil Technology Lab and the Altec Welding Skills Lab. Phase II includes the Harry F. Duncan Center for Nursing & Allied Health Education, home to nursing and allied health programs, behavioral health support, early childhood education, and general education courses. The Duncan Center also includes the United Electric – United Fiber Welcome Center, the Connections Bank Resource Center, the MOSAIC Life Care Commons, and specialized instructional spaces: the MOSAIC Life Care Nursing Lab, MOSAIC Life Care Rad Tech Lab, MOSAIC Life Care Surg Tech Lab, and MOSAIC Life Care Sono Lab.
