APPENDIX A
This document serves as the Transfer Articulation Guide between North Central Missouri
College and Missouri Western State University for the degree program of Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Development to Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. The Transfer Articulation Guide outlined below is based on Missouri CORE 42 requirements.
Entrance Requirements
___ Overall GPA of 2.75 or greater and GPA of 3.0 in content area and Teacher Education
___ Completion, or equivalency, of EDU 202 Introduction to Education and EDU 203 Experience in Teaching with a “C” or higher.
___ Missouri General Education Assessment (MOGEA) passing scores or ACT Composite of 20 or higher.
___ Pre-major and/or major declaration form and concentration form on file.
Degree Requirements
___ Earn a minimum of 120 hour (100 level and higher, maximum of 6 CED credit hours applicable).
___ Earn a minimum of 30 credit hours in upper division courses. Lower division transfer courses accepted as meeting upper division departmental course requirements cannot be used to fulfill this requirement.
___ Earn 30 of the last 45 credit hours at MWSU in institutional course work (exclusive of credit by exam).
___ Participate in required departmental and campus wide assessments.
___ Earn an overall GPA at least 2.75 and a major GPA of at least 3.0 with at least a 3.0 GPA in education courses.
___ Fulfill the Missouri Constitution requirement.
