North Central Missouri College has once again made history, achieving its highest-ever student enrollment for the third consecutive year. For the Fall 2026 semester, NCMC has a record-breaking 2,061 students, who are collectively enrolled in 19,806 credit hours, surpassing all previous benchmarks.

Dr. Jamie Hooyman, President, said, “Three consecutive years of enrollment growth clearly show the strength of our college community and the confidence students and families place in NCMC. This success reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students, and we are proud to continue building an institution where students can thrive, succeed, and prepare for their futures.”

This milestone reflects a 4% increase in headcount and a 2% rise in credit hours compared to Fall 2025. The new figures exceed the prior headcount record set in Fall 2025 by 74 students and the previous credit hour high by 463 hours. Some of the highest enrollment increases include a 9% increase at the Savannah Campus, 17% in dual enrollment/early college, 11% in dual credit, 22% in service area, and 11% in returning students.

Dr. Kristen Alley, Vice President of Student Affairs, said, “The Trenton campus and online programs continue to have success, with momentous growth occurring at our Savannah campus and in our dual credit and dual enrollment programs in particular. The outreach and effort put forth to provide a quality education in these areas have allowed us to continue to have a positive impact throughout north Missouri.”

This achievement marks a continued upward trend in student enrollment and institutional growth, reinforcing NCMC’s commitment to accessible, affordable, and excellent educational opportunities.
