Annette Wilbur, Science Instructor, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Employee for February. Annette is from “way out in the country” between Spickard and Princeton, MO. (hometown Ingraham, IL) and has worked at NCMC for 12 years. Annette has a Master of Science in biological sciences from Eastern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Science in ecology, ethology and evolution from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science in education from Eastern Illinois University.
Annette describes her job as motivating, evolving, and fun. Recently, Annette has helped start a Geology Club for students. Annette would like to help encourage more students to take science courses on-ground instead of online, and sees enrollment increasing in life science courses due to the expansion of allied health programs. When asked about her favorite thing about NCMC, Annette said, “The autonomy given to departments and individuals for their job.”
When not at work, Annette enjoys playing Backgammon, Chess, quilting, rock hunting, and rock cutting/polishing.
