Brenna Pierce from Lamoni, IA, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for May. Brenna is pursuing an Associate in Arts degree with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Brenna plans to transfer to Missouri Western State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Brenna is a student worker in the President’s office, involved in CJ Club, Student Support Services, and lived in the residence halls. Her favorite class is any Criminal Justice class with Jenna Vandel. Brenna said, “I enjoy Instructor Vandel’s teaching, and it makes learning easy because there is a lot of hands-on learning and real-world application. I like the subject, and it makes me excited for my future in the field.“
Brenna went on to say, “I chose NCMC because it’s affordable and not far from home. Also, it has the number one ranked online Criminal Justice program. NCMC is small, and the one-to-one attention I get from instructors helps me feel included. The instructors really know you and want to help you.“
Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
