Cheri Basham Inducted into NCMC’s PTK

North Central Missouri College inducted Cheri Basham from Cowgill, MO, into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) National Honor Society membership for spring 2026. Since the beginning of the spring semester, 26 NCMC students, including Cheri, have earned membership into PTK honor society. Cheri was formally honored and recognized at the Phi Theta Kappa induction ceremony on April 14 at NCMC. NCMC PTK advisors are Maryellen Harman, NCMC History Instructor, and Sam Meservey, Academic Advisor.

“PTK is the world’s largest and most prestigious honor society for two-year college students.” To be eligible, students must be enrolled in an accredited institution offering an associate degree, completed at least 12 credit hours, have a 3.50 GPA or above, receive an invitation to join and adhere to the moral standards of the society.
