Demetrius Houston Jr., Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Residence Life Coordinator, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Employee for March. Demetrius lives in Trenton, MO (hometown Birmingham, AL) and has worked at NCMC for three years. Demetrius is an NCMC alum and holds a master’s degree in management.
Demetrius describes his job as motivating, flexible, and gratifying. During his time at NCMC, Demetrius has helped make his position more accessible for all students. In the future, he sees the housing department continuing to innovate, grow, and create more on-campus living for students. For basketball, Demetrius sees the men’s basketball team continuing to compete nationally and nurturing players into exceptional men and student-athletes. Demetrius hopes to have a great, lasting impact on as many lives as possible at NCMC and win a national championship.
When not at work, Demetrius can be found spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoys listening to music, reading, fishing, and working out.
