FOUNDATION & ALUMNI EVENTS - NCMC Foundation

The NCMC Foundation and Alumni Association sponsors and hosts annual events year such as the Pirates Ball, Scholarship Reception, and Holiday Hoops. These events celebrate alumni, donors, friends, students and the very best high school basketball in north Missouri. The Pirates Ball is an annual event that celebrates all NCMC family and friends as well as honoring our Distinguished Alumni. Since 2019 the Pirates Ball has celebrated those who give so graciously to the NCMC Foundation while also providing an evening of good food and fun. Entertainment varies every year but highlights talented Missourians. The incoming class of Distinguished Alumni are recognized for their success in their chosen professions, support of TJC/NCMC and community and civic service. The Pirates Ball is held in March at the Ketcham Community Center.

The NCMC Scholarship Reception celebrates honors and recognizes those who are making a difference at NCMC by bringing together students, scholarship donors, alumni, friends, faculty and staff. ALL NCMC STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED A SCHOLARSHIP during the current academic year are encouraged to attend with their guests.

The Scholarship Reception is held annually in October at the Ketcham Community Center on the main campus of North Central Missouri College. Doors open early to allow scholarship donors and scholarship recipients to meet and get to know each other. The one-hour program will feature a variety of speakers including scholarship recipients, scholarship donors, alumni, friends, faculty and staff.

Invitations are sent to scholarship recipients via their Pirate email accounts. Donor invitations are sent based on the donor’s preference. Light appetizers are served; therefore, an RSVP is required including the number of guests who will be in attendance. Event attire is business casual.

North Central Missouri College Foundation and the Holiday Hoops Committee is proud to host one of the top high school basketball showcases in Missouri. Held annually in December, Holiday Hoops was founded in 2005 and has carried the tradition proudly ever since. Trenton and surrounding community residents have had the privilege of witnessing some of the most talented basketball players in the area since its inception. High School Holiday Hoops, sponsored by the North Central Missouri College Foundation, Inc., is supported by a volunteer steering committee and community volunteers. All games are played on the campus of North Central Missouri College at the Ketcham Community Center and there is no entry fee for teams that contract early to participate.

Our mission is to expand the exposure of North Central Missouri College, its campus, and facilities by offering a quality, competitive basketball environment where students and teams can showcase their skills during winter break. Further, The NCMC Foundation and Holiday Hoops Committee hopes the event encourages student athletes to consider furthering their educational and athletic goals beyond high school.
