Gifts in Action

NC Interlock logo

Today, students face rising college costs coupled with declining funding sources. In the past, the Pell Grant covered most of a qualifying student’s college expenses; however, students still find themselves borrowing additional funds to complete their college education. Currently, the average loan per student at NCMC is $6,000. Investing in the scholarships helps NCMC to continue to provide an affordable and quality education for students.

Since 2013, the NCMC Foundation’s Gifts in Action Scholarship Campaign has helped to educate tomorrow’s leaders by contributing to the growth of endowed scholarship funds. Only a portion of endowed funds is awarded each year which guarantees the Foundation will continue to assist generations of future students to pursue their educational dreams. The Foundation is blessed to manage over 50 endowed/named scholarships. Criteria for these scholarships is set by the scholarship donor and may reflect a donor’s passion or interest.

An endowed general scholarship fund, the Knowledge Fund is available for donors who wish to donate to scholarships but not start their own endowed/named scholarship. This scholarship with its open criteria allows more students to qualify for a scholarship and increases the reach of the Gifts in Action Scholarship campaign.

If you are Interested in establishing an endowed/named scholarship tailored to your passion or interest or have a questions about NCMC Foundation Scholarships contact Alicia Endicott at (660) 357-6403 or [email protected].

NCMC is committed to providing an affordable and quality education to students. On average, students pay 42% less to attend North Central Missouri College than a Missouri public 4-year institution. View NCMC’s current tuition & cost.

Establishing a named scholarship in honor of a family member or in memory of a special friend is a wonderful way to leave a legacy. These endowed scholarships can be awarded in accordance with the donor’s specific wishes. Donors who have benefited from scholarships themselves can “pay it forward” by establishing a named scholarship with their Gifts in Action.

Every donation to Gifts in Action will make a difference in the lives of NCMC students and help the leaders of tomorrow achieve their higher educational goals.
