Jennifer Wynne, North Central Missouri College General Psychology Adjunct/Dual Credit Instructor, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Employee for November. Jennifer is from Trenton, MO (hometown Greensburg, KY) and has worked at NCMC for eleven years. She holds a master’s in counseling/rehabilitation counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Jennifer describes her job as dynamic, ever-changing, and rewarding. At NCMC, she has strived to keep up with new research knowledge and integrate it into her curriculum. Jennifer wants to continue being able to teach to help ensure that general psychology class offerings meet student demands. When asked how she sees her department growing or advancing, Jennifer said, “With more emphasis on mental health needs, I can see this driving a more important consideration and interest placed on the field of psychology“. When asked about her favorite thing about NCMC, Jennifer said, “The support and training I have received over the years from other staff and other instructors, particularly with the technology changes.”
When Jennifer isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time at home, reading, painting landscapes, traveling, and hanging out with her cats. Jennifer is also a 20-year US Air Force Veteran and a Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation counselor.
