Jessika Kennedy from Trenton, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for July. Jessika is pursuing her associate’s degree in criminal justice and is expected to graduate in May 2026.
At NCMC, Jessika is involved in the Criminal Justice Club and Student Support Services, and she also helped with the Upward Bound summer component this year. Jessika said, “My favorite thing about NCMC is how kind all the staff are. I enjoy the Tutoring Center, the café, and just everyone being so nice.”
When asked why she chose NCMC, Jessika said, “I chose NCMC because it was close to home, it had good opportunities, and it was affordable.” Jessika’s favorite class at NCMC has been Biology, taught by Instructor Dr. Susan Stull. Jessika said, “Biology challenged me, but I learned so much.”
Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
