Network Administrator for Farmers’ Electric Cooperative

The Network Administrator ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network and server hardware, software, and communication links. This person will also analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user training where required. The Network Administrator will also be responsible for all computer networks located at Farmers’ Electric offices, electric substations, all radio, and other telecommunications equipment. They will also oversee all security and cloud services that are used by the Cooperative.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
