Lili Pollard from St. Joseph, MO (hometown Hanyuan, China), has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for May. Lili is pursuing her associate in applied science in nursing and will graduate in May. After graduating from NCMC, Lili plans to enter the career field as a nurse and also work on obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
When not attending class, Lili spends time with her family and concentrates on her career and goals. Her favorite classes are maternal and pharmacology. Lili said, “my favorite thing at NCMC has been getting to start my journey with all my classmates and learning from the amazing and knowledgeable instructors!”
When asked why she chose NCMC, Lili said, “I chose NCMC because of its strong reputation for nursing education and affordable tuition, which makes high-quality education accessible. I was especially drawn to the hands-on clinical opportunities and the supportive faculty, who are known for helping students succeed both academically and professionally.”
Lili went on to say, “NCMC has given me the knowledge, clinical experience, and confidence I need to succeed in my career. We have great hands-on simulation, supportive instructors, and real-world clinical rotations that have prepared me not just to pass exams, but to care for the patients in meaningful ways. The program has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I now feel more confident to enter the healthcare field and learn more!”
Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
