Nicole Shell, Academic Advisor from Trenton, MO, has, been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Employee for March. Nicole, an NCMC alum, holds an associate’s degree from NCMC and will complete her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northwest Missouri State University this December. Nicole has been employed at NCMC for eight years.

Nicole describes her job as rewarding, engaging, and collaborative, and when asked her favorite thing about NCMC, Nicole said, “The people! I love interacting with my students, and I have amazing coworkers!” Recently, Nicole presented at the annual MCCA convention about NCMC’s orientation (OAR) process, and in the future, Nicole would like to see the OAR process continue to grow and, eventually, include current students to give new students the best tools possible for starting their college journey. Nicole would also like to see her department advance in the Early Alert program. Nicole said, “This process is extremely important in order to help students who may be struggling academically before it is too late. Creating a concrete, seamless process that facilitates that help is the goal.”

Each month, nominations are submitted by faculty/staff members for an outstanding employee they feel is hardworking and dedicated and has made NCMC overall a great place. To learn more about North Central Missouri College employment opportunities, visit www.ncmissouri.edu/jobs
