2025 is a landmark year for North Central Missouri College, as it proudly celebrates its centennial, a full century of empowering students, shaping futures, and serving the region through educational impact. Originally founded as Trenton Junior College (TJC), NCMC has provided affordable, accessible, and high-quality education for 100 years, launching thousands of careers and academic journeys.
To honor this remarkable legacy, NCMC is hosting an academic year filled with celebration, special events, stories, and tributes to the past, present, and future. At the heart of it all is the college’s enduring commitment to student success, regional impact, and historical achievement, values that have defined NCMC/TJC for generations.
Join NCMC on Monday, September 8, at 11:00 a.m. for the unveiling of a time capsule buried 25 years ago. The ceremony will take place at the rock by Shakespeare’s Garden on the Main Campus in Trenton, MO. Attendees will witness the capsule’s contents and reflect on the college’s journey through time. Everyone is encouraged to wear vintage TJC/NCMC apparel.
The centennial celebration will continue throughout the academic year, and NCMC invites alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members to be part of the story.
