NCMC Cross Hall Celebrates 10 Years with Open House October 24

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the opening for Cross Hall, North Central Missouri College is having an Open House on October 24th from 3:00-5:00 p.m.  A short welcome will be given in the Cross Hall Lobby at 3:00 p.m. followed by tours and demonstrations conducted by current NCMC allied health faculty and students.  The public is invited to tour the facility and learn more about NCMC allied health programs.

The academic hall is named on behalf of Dr. Albert and Vera Cross.  Cross Hall is a 33,000 square foot brick and stone structure that houses allied health classrooms and labs, general theatre-type classrooms, and a commons area with a coffee shop.  Ground was broken for the project in late May 2008 and was completed October 2009.  All funds (approximately $7 million) for construction and equipment were raised from local, state and federal sources through the NCMC Foundation’s Invest in the Vision capital campaign.

“NCMC and Cross Hall have thousands of visitors each year, however, this is a rare opportunity for the public to see all that our state of the art lab and simulation mannequins have to offer our students” commented NCMC Director of Development Alicia Endicott.  “The 10-year anniversary of Cross Hall is a perfect time to invite the public and celebrate the many successes of our Allied Health programs and students.”
