NCMC Safety Week-Main Street to be Closed October 26th

October 22, 2018

NCMC Housing/Activities will be conducting safety week October 22rd-October 26th.  As a part of Safety Week, on Friday, October 26th, the Housing staff will combine efforts with NCMC Criminal Justice students, Missouri Highway Patrol, and the Trenton Police Department to conduct a road safety exercise for NCMC students from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The exercise will include Distracted/Impaired Driving and seat belt safety held on Main Street in front of Geyer Hall.
As a result, Main Street will be closed from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. between Crowder and 13th street.  Students will have an opportunity to wear goggles that simulate the effects of alcohol and ride oversized tricycles through an obstacle course. Trenton PD officers will conduct mock field sobriety tests to students, and the Mo Highway Patrol will have simulators educate students.
