North Central Missouri College Homecoming Royalty and Family of the Year Announced

At yesterday’s North Central Missouri College Homecoming events, the 2019 NCMC Family of the Year and the 2019 NCMC Homecoming King and Queen were announced. The Family of the Year is the Eaton Family from Mound City, Missouri. Pharon Pilgrim from Willemstad, Curacao and Jamee Scearce from Gower, Missouri were crowned NCMC Homecoming King and Queen.

The Eaton family are strong supporters of North Central Missouri College and have two daughters that attended, Kendey and Joeigh. Kendey played basketball for the Lady Pirates and graduated with an Associate in Arts degree and certificate in Business Management. Joeigh is a current student pursuing her Associate in Arts degree. Father Ken Eaton is the Superintendent at Mound City School District, and mother Shelley is the Counselor and Librarian. Kendey and Joeigh also have a brother, Prent that is a Social Worker at St. Joseph, Missouri.

“My parents have always been there to help me make tough decisions, encourage me, and prepare me to do my best,” said Joeigh. “For the past three years, they have supported my sister and I as we journeyed through NCMC.  They were there for our move-in day and Kendey’s graduation, and I’ll always be thankful for everything they’ve done for us.”

Pharon Pilgrim and Jamee Scearce are current sophomores at North Central Missouri College. Pharon plays baseball for the NCMC Pirates, involved in International Club, Student Senate, and is an Ambassador. Jamee is Student Senate President, Ag Club President, involved in Phi Theta Kappa, Student Support Services, and is an Ambassador. Pharon and Jamee were selected out of the Homecoming Court by a vote by the student body.

The Homecoming Court candidates included Zachary Carr from La Plata, MO, Alyssa Kosse from Trenton, MO, Haley Lewis from Chillicothe, MO, Pharon Pilgrim from Willemstad, Curacao, Jamee Scearce from Gower, MO, Kaitie Smith from Mound City, MO, Cru Taff from Mercer, MO, and Nathaniel Udovich from Trenton, MO.
