North Central Missouri College is proud to recognize Nate Swann, Head Men’s & Women’s Golf Coach/Athletics Assistant, as the September Outstanding Employee. Nate is from Trenton, MO, and has been a dedicated member of the NCMC team for five years. Nate is an NCMC alum and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in sports management from Northwest Missouri State University.
When asked about his role, Nate described it as “challenging, rewarding, and fun.” His favorite thing about NCMC is “All of the students and employees; also how family-like our institution is!”
This past year, Nate helped the NCMC men’s golf team qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time in program history, and in women’s golf, he led the first individual to qualify for the national tournament since 2019. Nate would like to continue to see steady success within NCMC’s golf teams at the national level. Nate said, “I would like to help turn both teams into a national powerhouse in the NJCAA as well as making the NCMC athletes’ experience at NCMC the best possible.”
In the future, Nate sees continued growth for the men’s and women’s golf teams and continue to bring great athletes in and out of the program. Nate also sees different improvements/renovations made at the Ketcham Center. Nate said, “I’m excited to see what the future holds!”
Outside of work, Nate enjoys golfing, spending time with friends and family, fishing, listening to music, and taking road trips.
