What is OAR?

All new students are required to attend.

Parents or family members are welcome, but due to limited space, we ask that each student bring a maximum of two guests.  Each OAR session is filled with information to familiarize you with NCMC – from faculty and staff, to our campus, to all the student resources available to you as an NCMC Pirate! Every new NCMC student is required to attend an OAR session.

Advisement & Class Schedule

Our Academic Advisors take a proactive approach to advising and registration. Your schedule is created based on recommendations from your department, your declared degree program, prior college credit, other special circumstances such as sports participation, your preferred method of course delivery, and your course preferences, among other things.

Reserve your spot!

You will need to register for an OAR date online. Seating is limited for each session.
