North Central Missouri College is proud to recognize Cassie Cordray, Teacher Education Instructor, as the February Outstanding Employee. A native of Laredo, MO, (hometown Trenton, MO), Cassie is an NCMC alumna who holds a master’s degree and has been a dedicated member of the NCMC team for eight years.
When asked about her role, Cassie described it as “purposeful, demanding, and heartwork.” Her favorite thing about NCMC is “the people; they are supportive, dedicated, and student-centered.” During her time at NCMC, Cassie has grown Teacher Education enrollment and created clear pathways for teacher preparation during the rural teacher shortage. In the future, Cassie would like to expand the Teacher Education program to the Savannah Campus and add an additional faculty member to support that growth.
Outside of work, Cassie enjoys quality time with her husband and son, golfing, helping at her church, being outdoors, and summer drives on the side-by-side.
